BIODEGRADABLE & DESIGNED TO CLEAN THE AIR
Carbon stool is lightweight, durable, and made entirely from plant-based materials.
Utilizing three base polymer types from our Biocraft formula, the core of Carbon Stool was milled from aggregate pulp using a modified computer-controlled gantry. This core was laminated with biopolymer gels colored with natural pigments and activated carbon, making Carbon Stool a natural air filter.
The seat cushion was 3D printed from biopolymer foam, its aesthetics driven by an artificial intelligence neural net. This AI was trained on textures in nature with high surface area, which was then utilized to produce thousands of cushion designs, generating new patterns guided by seat pressure maps. The result is a 3D printed Biocraft foam seat design that balances comfortability with high surface area for optimal carbon capture.
